He has worked for a publicly traded marketing firm, a non-profit historical association, and the federal government. He has created award-winning print ads, trail guides, program booklets, a curriculum guide, and several Websites. Awards include an ADDY Award for Creative Excellence (1995), two Interpretive Media Awards from the Association of Partners for Public Lands (1996 and 1997), two Excellence in Interpretation Awards from the National Association for Interpretation (1998 and 1999), and a Gold Screen Award of Excellence from the National Association of Government Communicators (2008).
